An Update on Hari's Helping Hands (Part 2)
A New Chapter for Community Learning, Emotional Intelligence, and Personal Growth (Still for FREE).
Hey y’all! This season has been full of movement—professionally, creatively, and personally—and I’m excited to share what’s been happening behind the scenes at Hari’s Helping Hands!
Before we dive deep into the updates, I just wanted to remind y’all how grateful I am to have you. Your engagement is helping this nonprofit newsletter gain outside traction (I’m showing up in the algorithm more) and whenever I engage with y’alls posts, it shows up as well as relevant information or people I enjoy engaging with.
Of course, it isn’t an easy path. Sometimes it can feel like progress happens slowly, especially when life is pulling us in several different directions at once. However, when I look back over the past several weeks—no, an entire year since moving back home to Texas—I’m reminded that growth often happens when we encourage ourselves to complete one project, have one conversation, and take one faithful step at a time.
Professional Milestones & New Collaborations
One of the biggest developments this season has been the start of a collaborative journey with Sam Imperati, owner of ICMResolutions, on May 12, 2026. As someone who is passionate about communication, conflict resolution, and helping people navigate hard conversations more effectively, I am excited to learn from this experience and explore opportunities that may benefit our community in the future.
Publishing Milestones
Publishing has also remained a major focus throughout the spring. On April 29, 2026, In Psychology I Trust: Boundaries & Healing was officially published through Amazon. Shortly afterward, on May 21, 2026, I completed the print version of Book One, marking another milestone in a project that has been weeks in the making.
In addition to that accomplishment, I recently completed another book project. The digital eBook version of my latest fictional historical drama and romance—Our Chains Remember—was finalized on May 31, 2026, followed by the completion of the print edition on June 1, 2026. While my educational and nonprofit work remains at the center of what I do, creative storytelling continues to be an important outlet for exploring relationships, resilience, personal growth, and the complexity of the human experience.
For those who have been asking about print copies, I have some good news. My books are now becoming available in paperback through Amazon, and readers who prefer to purchase directly through Ko-fi are still welcome to do so. Behind the scenes, I am actively organizing where each title is published so I can properly update my Linktree, Substack, Ko-fi Library, and other resource pages. My goal is to make finding the right format as simple and straightforward as possible as my catalog continues to grow.
Community Expansion: Join the Discord
To help strengthen community engagement, I also created a Discord server for those who would like to connect outside of the traditional newsletter format. My intention is to treat the server as an extension of the platform itself, allowing readers, supporters, and community members to engage in conversations, share resources, and build connections with others who value emotional growth and healthy communication.
Side Note: Of course, if you just want to drop in, say hello, then dip, that’s fine too!
Life Lately: Crawling Babies & Creative Chaos
On the home front, Ishmael—the rainbow baby—is officially crawling. And naturally, he chose to master mobility right as I’m juggling multiple projects. Every work session now includes a mini obstacle course and at least one baby rescue mission. It’s chaotic, but it’s also a reminder of why I do this work in the first place. Him and his sister, Iris (4), both love getting into things.
Thank goodness for the crayons and coloring books! 🤣
Mental Health Check‑In
As part of my ongoing commitment to transparency, I also wanted to share a brief mental health check-in.
Overall, I am doing alright, but I am tired more often than I would like to admit. Lately, I find myself looking at apartments and homes in Houston and East Texas, imagining what it would feel like to have a place of my own. At the same time, those opportunities can feel difficult to reach when living on a very limited income. There are moments when that reality feels discouraging, and I would be lying if I said it did not affect me emotionally.
Still, I’m praying through this season. I trust that if there’s something God wants me to understand, He’ll reveal it—even if the lesson is uncomfortable. I’m holding onto faith, discipline, and patience while continuing to build what I can with what I have.
Side Note #2: If you prefer raw, intimate journaling, Mama Hari’s Healing is still available for free. It’s updated as needed and offers a more relaxed, personal look into my life and healing journey.
Thank you for continuing to support Hari's Helping Hands. Whether you read the newsletter, listen to the podcast, share content with others, purchase a book, or simply stop by from time to time, your presence helps make this community possible.
Until next time, keep learning, keep growing, and keep lending a helping hand whenever you can.
